In-Depth Studies has been traveling to Belarus in the former Soviet Union since 1996. Our ministry there began with teaching students the Book of Romans in the Baptist Student Union. Since that time, the Lord has seen fit to increase our ministry to not only the believers throughout Belarus, but in the Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland, and Great Britain as well. In all of these locations, we meet with and train pastors and church leaders. We now travel to Belarus an average of twice per year to hold conferences, seminars, and meet individually with believers there.   • VLADIMIR BUKANOV

    Gatava is a village of about 15,000 folks that is located about 30 minutes south of Minsk. Vladimir Bukanov is the pastor and his wife is Ludmilla or Luda. They have two daughters. The eldest (Marina) is married while the youngest (Yulia) has recently become a believer. The deacon of the church is named Anatoly Sunduchkov, while the missionaries of the church are named Igor Gurov (his wife is Tanya) and Anatoly Kopulov (his wife is Tanya). Oleg Zaiatz is in charge of the youth of the church.
    The size of the church is about 50, but the ministry of the church is very effective and the desire of the folks to grounded in Scripture is remarkable. They regularly reach out to the surrounding villages and establish Bible studies.
    Prayer request: Vladimir needs funds to finish the building of his new home and the church is seeking to expand its building.

  • ADRIAN BARZU

    During this past trip to Europe in March I met personally for the first time Adrian Barzu (his wife is Delia and they have two boys). He lives in a small city called Comanesti which is located about 5 hours (by train) northwest of Bucharest, the capitol of Romania. Adrian is a very faithful pastor who desires to promote New Covenant theology and the Doctrines of Grace. I plan on returning to Comanesti in the spring of each year to give a conference on New Covenant Theology.
    Prayer request: That the Lord would raise up other men to teach and lead Adrian’s fellowship.

  • PAVEL AND KLARA STEIGER

    Pavel and Klare Steiger are missionaries for HCJB (missionary radio). They produce a theological magazine that goes out to about 5,000 to 7,000 Czech and Slovak subcribers. Pavel embraces the doctrines of grace and New Covenant Theology. Pavel and Klara are special friends of mine and I usually stop by Prague on my way home. I have done some theological seminars which Pavel and Klara have arranged for me.
